Sunday Roast

Sunday Roast

1 Roast (boneless is so easy)
1 can cond. cream of mushroom soup
A-1 Sauce (about ½ to ¾ cups)
1 envelope dried onion soup mix

Put roast in crock-pot and spread condensed cream of mushroom soup over the top. Pour A-1 over that, then sprinkle with dried onion soup. Cook on High for about 7 hours (longer if frozen). When the meat is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork, remove from crock-pot. Add water to the gravy to taste. Bring to a boil (I do this on the stove in a different pan) and thicken as you would for any gravy.

I know this is just a variation of a universal favorite but I love the flavor boost from the A-1 (Thanks mama). This makes a ton of gravy. This recipe is for an average size roast. I often double all this for my full family (12 adults and 5 kids) and still manage to fit it all in one large crock-pot. The leftovers, if we are so lucky, make for great sandwiches.
