Diet Milk Shake
(When my bananas start to turn, if I’m not using them for baking, I freeze them in a baggie)
1 frozen banana
5 to 6 frozen strawberries (this depends on their size, it’s about a hand full)
1 cup non-fat milk (powdered or fresh)
2 packets of artificial sweetener
Mix this well in a blender. Don’t defrost anything first, the thickness of the shake depends on the frozen fruit. By my calculations this is about 250 to 300 calories. That’s breakfast or lunch on my diet.
Diet Slurpee/Smoothie Variation
Same ingredients as above except substitute a diet soda for milk and sweetener. Diet orange, lemon lime, or grapefruit soda.
Mix well in blender. About 150 to 175 calories (and very filling).
Low Cal Fruit Salad
6 Bananas (approx), sliced
1 Apple, diced
1 to 2 cups cut, fresh Strawberries
1 tub Cool Whip, or store brand of same. (Regular or Light—you choose)
2 packets artificial sweetener
½ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp lemon extract (optional)
Mix together well. (If you don’t tell anyone it’s low-cal no one will know.)
